Reconstruction of internal roads in Vorë hill district

Project overview

Summary of the works carried out in the project of reconstruction of internal roads in the Kodër Vorë neighborhood, with a total length of 511 m:

1. Excavation and road filling works

The works began with the excavation of the soil with an excavator, preparing the ground for filling with previously excavated rock. This process provided a solid foundation for further layers of construction.

2. Works on curbs, gutters and walls

Monolithic structures were built in concrete with composition C 6/10, 16/20 and 20/25, ensuring stability and durability. A 10 cm layer of river gravel was placed to improve drainage and the aesthetics of curbs and gutters.

3. Sidewalk works

Pavement layers were carefully constructed, including:

• River gravel layer (t=20 cm)
• Brick layer (t=10 cm)
• Granite layer under the tiles (t=6 cm)
• Colored cement tiles, with dimensions 20x20 cm and 25x25 cm.

4. Water pipes

Water works included:

• The supply and installation of water supply pipes PE d=90 mm, Pn 16, and pipes PE100, PN10, DN 75 mm.
• Placement of rolling shutters and hydrants with a diameter of 50 mm, as well as distribution wells with dimensions of 1x1x1.35 m.

5. Road lighting works

The existing power lines were relocated and installed:

• PVC pipes with diameters of 160 mm and 100 mm.
• Flexible tube with a diameter of 63 mm.
• Al power cables 1000V, with rubber insulation and plastic cover, including decorative lighting poles H=5.5 m and VISTA SAP-TS100W type lighting.

6. Road demolition works

Work was carried out to demolish the existing concrete walls to improve the road infrastructure.

7. Road paving works

The road layers included:

• Brick layer (t=15 cm)
• River gravel layer (t=20 cm)
• Binder layer with granite gravel (6 cm)
• Asphalt concrete layer (4 cm)
• Lines of different widths for marking the road.

8. Construction of the sewage canal

For the construction of the canal, the following were carried out:

• Excavation of the soil and placement of the sand layer.
• Supply and installation of 200 mm diameter ribbed pipes.
• Construction of rain wells and reinforced concrete wells, with cast iron covers and dimensions of 1 m diameter and 1-1.5 m high.
